چکیده

We quantify the conditions at which “composites”, the resonances and bound states d, He are produced at RHIC. Using Hubble-like model for late stages, one can analytically solve the rate equations and also calculate the relevant optical depth factors. We calculate also the modification of ρ masse and width, and predict a radiacal shape change of σ.

Delta(1232) and Nucleon Spectral Functions in Hot Hadronic Matter

Modifications of ∆(1232) and nucleon spectral functions at finite temperature and baryon density are evaluated in terms of resonant scattering off thermal pions, as well as a renormalization of the vacuum ∆-width including vertex corrections. The interactions are based on effective Lagrangians of pions and baryon resonances, with underlying parameters (coupling constants and form factors) deter...

The decoupling problem at RHIC

We investigate whether it is possible to dynamically generate from classical transport theory the observed surprising Rout ≈ Rside in Au+Au at √ s = 130A GeV at RHIC [ 1, 2]. We obtained covariant solutions to the Boltzmann transport equation via the MPC technique [ 3], for a wide range of partonic initial conditions and opacities. We demonstrate that there exist transport solutions that yield ...

Partonic Equation of State in Relativistic Heavy Ion Collisions

The goal of the RHIC and the future LHC programs is to identify and study the matter with partonic degrees of freedom and determine the phase structure of the QCD phase diagram [1, 2]. In high-energy nuclear collisions, due to large initial density and frequent re-scatterings, collective motion develop [3]. Depends on both the duration and the strength of the frequent scatterings, local thermal...

3-D hydro + cascade model at RHIC

Hydrodynamic models have been very successful in describing the collective behavior of matter at RHIC, such as single particle spectra and elliptic flow. In particular the strong elliptic flow which, for the first time, reaches the hydrodynamic limit at RHIC, provides us with a new understanding of the nature of the quark-gluon plasma (QGP) created at RHIC as strongly interacting or correlated ...

Resonance Production in RHIC Collisions

Results of resonance particle production measured at RHIC in √ s NN = 200 GeV Au+Au collisions are compared to measurements in p+p and d+Au collisions in order to verify the existence of an extended hardron-ically interacting medium. Yield and momentum distributions of resonances maybe modified during the fireball lifetime due to resonance decay and the subsequent rescattering of their decay da...
